Let's discover the hidden secret to finding the groove under every guitar riff, and actually create basslines and contributing parts for metal bass that don't just follow the guitar riff.

In modern metal, the bass is often forced to be just an octave pedal for the guitar player. Bass serves its own function, and can create its own part even under the most complex guitar riffs.

The function of all bassists, not just metal bassists, is to create the glue between guitar and drums while creating its own contribution and controlling how the flow of rhythm and groove are created.

Let's discuss a simple method to creating great bass parts under even complicated guitar riffs that make the sound heavier, propel the song, add dynamics, and create a grove of their own.
